After years of innovating factory made guitars to being consistently very good, Robert (Bob) Taylor set out to make the ultimate acoustic guitar. On a pure tone quest he got his best two designers; Larry Breedlove and Ed Greneiro. They came out with a new shape: R. taylor "Style 1" and two new styles of top bracing. Coupled with either a 65 degree radius top or a flat top and a variety of custom options from wood types and neck shapes to scale length and nut width. There are many varietys of Style 1 yet the sound of R. Taylor is apparent in every guitar, it is a very open and uncompresed clear bell-like tone with great note to note separation. Articulate and rich everywhere along the neck, and the playability is as good as you could possibly want from an acoustic.

The R. Taylor shop includes master luthiers Keith Greenwood, Eric Larson, Josh carter and headed by Tim Lurance who has been building with Bob since the beginning of Taylor Guitars.

Some of the things that make R. Taylors sound and look so good are:
-The continuity of a small custom shop with four master builders.
-The limitless resources of Taylor Guitars, including the best of the best of woods etc...
-Solid wood lining (Instead of kerfing).
-1:21 ratio tuners (Most are 1:16, or sometimes 1:18).
-The beautiful Ameritage case.

Come down and experience the R. Taylor, it's everything you wanted and more!
