With G&L basses you can see Leo Fender’s evolution from Fender to Music Man and onto the culmination of his designs. The body is similar to a fender bass, and they have the fat humbucker of a Music Man, except the G&L humbucker is a Leo designed MFD pickup with 8 magnets instead of 2, and 8 adjustments in height instead of 2. The bridge is a beefy G&L saddle lock with chrome plated brass saddles. Also the controls let you choose a passive or active preamp, a very nice option to have. These upgrades make G&L a great choice for someone that wants a traditional feel, but more tonal variety to choose from.
